The gorge is located 60 km from the city of Cholpan-Ata, on the northern shore of the pearl of Kyrgyzstan and the famous resort — Lake Issyk-Kul. The people of the Grigoryevsky Gorge are called Chon-Ak-Suu. Its length is 35 km.
The slopes of the Grigoryevsky Gorge are covered with spruce trees, as well as a huge variety of flowers and plants. A glacial river with cold and crystal clear water runs along the bottom of the gorge, and two majestic snow peaks rise above the gorge: Kum Bel peak, whose height is 4200 meters and Eshenbulak (4647 meters). Snowy peaks, stormy rivers, a rich variety of flora and fauna of the gorge make it a unique place, but the main purpose of tourists is still something else. These are the three pearls of the gorge — three alpine and incredibly beautiful lakes. The Lower Lake is located in the first part of the gorge, and the Middle Lake is located a little higher. Semenovskoe Gorge

On the northern shore of the lake, 40 km from the sanatorium Cholpon-Ata, just north of the village of Semenovka and 20 km from the Grigoryevsky gorge, the Semenovskoye gorge is located, the length of which is 30 unforgettably beautiful kilometers!
The Semenov Gorge was named after one of the first explorers of these places — P.P.Semenov-Tien Shan, a famous Russian geographer and scientist who devoted a significant chapter of his life to the study of the Tien Shan in the XIX century. Here is what he wrote in his diary about the Issyk-Kul region:
“From the south, this entire blue basin of Issyk-Kul was closed by a continuous chain of snowy giants. The Tien Shan seemed a steep wall. The snowy peaks with which it was crowned formed an unbroken chain anywhere, and since their snow-white bases, beyond the distance to the south «west, hiding behind the horizon, the snow-capped peaks seemed to directly emerge from the dark blue waters of the lake.»
Not only lovers of incredible landscapes, but also historical sights go to the Semenov gorge. On the northeastern border of the village of Semenovka there are graves of the 5-3th century BC, and not far from the village there is a cottage built for Leonid Brezhnev himself in the 1960s.
