Lake Bes-Tash

Today we will visit one of the most beautiful lakes in northern Kyrgyzstan, Bes-Tash. Lake Bes-tash itself is located in the reserve of the same name, 50 km from the city of Talas, at an altitude of 3000 meters above sea level. A good dirt road leads to it, which most cars can overpower, but it’s better to choose an SUV, of course.

The Bes-Tash gorge is famous for its beauty and pristine nature, thanks to the local authorities who created the Bes-Tash Reserve here. One of the largest reserve in the mountains of the Talas Range.
Bes-Tash is translated as five stones set in the gorge of the reserve. Although the gorge itself boasts a great variety of rocks of all kinds and sizes, scattered along the entire gorge, during rockfall during mountain formations!
